It must have been a very sad day when Adam and Eve were barred from the Garden of Eden. Worse yet, their face to face encounter with their Creator was severely marred. The future looked very dismal. God, the Designer and Creator of this vast universe, did not abandon Adam and Eve in their sorrow. He established a covenant with them, a covenant of grace which promised a deliverance from the arch enemy, Satan. Genesis 3:15. Furthermore, God committed Himself to a complete reconciliation and restoration through His Son, Jesus Christ. This covenant of grace was reaffirmed again and again to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, and the prophets of the Old Testament, with Isaiah as a prominent spokesman for this blessed deliverance through Christ Jesus. It is amazing that God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16. Although it appeared on many occasions that God's plan seemed to falter, God unrelentingly and with determination has pursued and will complete His covenant of grace in these last days through His Son, Christ Jesus.
